TUWE Turkinje West Substation – Mareeba

Client: Bryant Building Contractors
Date: July 2025 – February 2026
Value: $1,000,000

Tablelands Civil delivered a full civil works package for the new Turkinje West Substation. The scope included site clearing, earthworks, subgrade preparation, kerb and channel, pavements, culverts, drainage, and surface treatments. The project required close coordination with other contractors and was delivered on a constrained site within an operational infrastructure footprint.

Cashmere Kirrama Road Upgrade

Client: Tablelands Regional Council
Date: August – September 2025
Value: $610,000

Gravel upgrade of 4km of unsealed road in a remote area. The works involved heavy formation grading, roadside drainage, gravel resheeting and traffic management across a load-restricted bridge. Challenging access and logistics were managed with support from local suppliers and careful sequencing.

Kuranda Landslip Remediation – Barron Falls Road

Client: Australian Ground Engineering
Date: September 2024 – October 2024 and February 2025
Value: $426,000

As part of landslip remediation works, Tablelands Civil supplied and installed over 2,000 tonnes of rock scour protection along a narrow section of Barron Falls Road. The project involved staged access, environmental controls and coordination with geotechnical contractors in a sensitive terrain.

Rocky Creek Rail Trail Crossing

Client: Tablelands Regional Council
Date: June – July 2025
Value: $136,000

Upgrade of a section of the Rocky Creek Rail Trail, including earthworks, formation grading and gravel resheeting. Construction of a 182m² reinforced concrete causeway and surrounding landscaping improved trail access and safety. Traffic management included coordination with pedestrian and bike users in a high-use public corridor.

Topaz Rd Access Roads & Driveways

Client: Private Developers
Date: January – February 2025
Value: $130,000

Construction of two new rural property accesses and sealed internal roads to meet TMR standards. Scope included bulk earthworks, subgrade preparation, pavement layers and bitumen seal. Delivered for private landowners seeking compliant, long-lasting access solutions.

Bloomfield Road Reconstruction

Client: Australian Ground Engineering
Date: April – September 2025
Value: $426,000

Earthworks and pavement works to support landslip remediation along Bloomfield Road. Works included bulk excavation, pavement removal and reconstruction of a new sealed pavement structure in a remote area with no mobile coverage. Logistical planning and staged delivery were key to meeting project requirements.
